Our target is to create a digital learning environment within the School, including provision of equipment and resources that will benefit the Students and the Teaching Staff.
We are addressing the issues with power supply and Internet connectivity.
The students need internet for online learning, research and resources for examinations.
We are providing secure wireless connectivity using the services of Starlink Internet and a regular contract with monthly subscription.
We also started installation of solar panels around the School to generate power to the ICT suite and the Library.
Ongoing electricity is necessary for charging the equipment and the Routers. It also ensures that Students and Teachers can use the resources effectively.
Students need additional support with use of applications, online learning and gaining confidence in the use of equipment, including self learning and support outside school hours. We propose to fund additional lessons out of hours and during the school holidays, for students to develop digital skills.
Students currently have access to the pcs in groups of 3-1 sharing one equipment per desk. This does not encourage exploratory learning for students who wish to improve their ICT skills.
A new LRC will include making the ICT Suite and the Library fully Digital with modern equipment. In the long term we hope to provide all students with a laptop to use in all the classrooms instead of the ICT suite only.
Your generous donation, particularly at our last fundraising event, is much appreciated and helps us to fund our mission.
OUR STUDENTS NOW ENJOY THE BENEFITS OF INTERNET ACCESS FOR EXAMINATIONS AND VIRTUAL LEARNING
We are thankful for your generosity and compassion.
Phase 1 of our project - the procurement of 22 Laptops and wireless Printer for the ICT suite. We also supplied encrypted USB flash drives for the students to save their personal work.
Phase 2 of our project - the procurement of Servers, eLearning materials, networking and configuration, Starlink internet connectivity and mini inverter systems with solar panels for the ICT suite and the Library commenced and was completed in February 2025.
We are grateful to Microsoft for their generous donation of Windows 11 Operating Systems and Office 365 licenses. We also wish to thank HP Nigeria for their support in procurement of equipment.
We have contracted with IT Plus Ltd. for maintenance and support of hardware, and training for the Teachers. This is an annual commitment to the School.
As we begin planning for Phase 3, we continue to rely on generous donations from organisations and individuals to help fund our mission.
Students have additional support for the registration process before sitting invigilated examinations.
